Decided to explore the newly (officially) reopened Funan SG on the last day of my leave yesterday. I’m sure many missed the old Funan IT Mall when it was closed more than 3 years ago — I used to take my children to shop for gadgets and computer parts there.
The reopened Funan has been revamped with interesting and modern features — an internal cycling path, co-working and co-living spaces, a cashless food court, a theatre for stage performances, an urban farm on the roof, and a rock-climbing wall right in the centre of the mall. It’s still a place to get or test out the latest gadgets, and now more than half the shops comprise homegrown brands, standing tall and making their mark among international brands. Hope the refreshed Funan will attract a new generation of visitors and fans! – LHL
